WELCOME TO VEG HUNTER!

FIND THE BEST VEGETARIAN RESTAURANTS IN YOUR AREA, GET A VAST ARRAY OF INFORMATION ON THE WORLD OF FOOD AND KEEP INFORMED TO WHAT THE LATEST AND MOST FOREFRONT ISSUES AND NEWS IN THE WORLD OF FOOD, THIS IS AN AREA WE CAN ALL BRUSH UP ON OUR KNOWLEDGE, SO BROWSE AROUND READ ARTICLES, GET INVOLVED IN DISCUSSIONS AND DEBATES, HAVE FUN!!!

My goal in creating this blog is to try and create a forum where people who are trying to lead the same lifestyle as I am (which i will explain later on) or trying to improve or learn how to lead a more healthy and sustainable way of life can come for advice, guidance, share opinions and thoughts, food suggestions, basically anything that is encompassing of this lifestyle I want to share with everyone making it place for people to be able to find the answers they are looking for to help them achieve their goals to living a higher quality of life. There will be discussion boards with different topics, you can start your own and I will post some to. I want people to constantly be aware of conscious of the world of food as we all eat and out eating choices can have consequences. Feel free to challenge ideas and give your opinion, just please be respectful to others.

When I talk about living the same lifestyle as I am, let me try explain fairly briefly.

I enjoy working out and keeping my body healthy, I also try and make sure I am aware of what I am eating and what the effects these foods have on my body. I am trying to be as aware of what consequences my eating choice carry such as eating meat has many health, environmental and ethical consequences.

I am trying to eat with regard not just for myself but for the planet we live on, our fellow inhabitants such as animals, insects, plants and the entire ecosystem that makes this planet function in the absolutely mind boggling but successful way it does.

The reason I am choosing to adapt my lifestyle is because the current way humans are inhabiting this planet is not sustainable and if each of us do not try and make efforts in our own small ways we are going to do detrimental damage to the earth.

From a health perspective to restaurants which is a goal of this blog to find a great veggie restaurant that can supply the body with what it requires as a healthy fit individual with the healthiest and highest quality foods that have the least environmental damage and other negative effects.

You do not have to be a vegetarian to be on this site, it offers great information on all sorts of aspects with regard to food, everyone should stay up to date with food issues as we are all consuming foods that can have positive and negative effects on ourselves, family and friends and it is important you know what you are putting into your body. I also know some people who are not vegaterian but enjoy the occasional veggie meal and there is nothing wrong with that, so this website is for everybody to try and become more aware of their eating choices and habits.

Small decisions and sacrifices by a large amount of people sends a big impact out there, so do not think that just you cannot make a change or a difference, everyone’s voice, decision and opinion counts !!

    Hi Jarryd,

Looking forward to hearing more. Will try to offer insite when I can. I have been trying to eat less meat myself in hopes to feeling better. I have found that since I had Chase nearly a year ago my diet has gone south. I don’t feel that I have bounced back yet and am finding it much more difficult now then ever before. I am quite certain that most of it is due to diet.

Excellent – I want to know what I am eating. Cannot read the small print of ‘toxic’ substances contained in food packaging – all the ‘good’ is presented in large print – so easy to read….try reading the small print …..not clearly visible.

Thanks for a great blog – will definitely keep watching……….keep going so we can all benefit

Hey lee, thanks for the comment.

That should not be the case all ingredients should be just as visible as the good ones. If you find a product that is trying to hide some ingredients in a small or fine print I would just try and avoid that product altogether, because that sounds illegal to me. Everything should be make visible to the consumer ! Try and avoid products that have a long list of ingredients, my rule of thumb is no more that 5 ingredients otherwise they start packing in all sorts of preservatives and chemicals !

Hope this helps, keep the comments coming !

Great blog and great “About” section. I feel too many people just eat blindly and selfishly, without a care for how their food choices impact the environment and animals. Every time we sit down to eat animal flesh, we’re paying someone to kill an animal. We are paying for animals to be locked in cages, to never see daylight, to be injected antibiotics and growth hormones, to be eat, shit and sleep in the same square of space all their lives. What goads me the most are those who “wilfully forget” – those who say, “I just don’t want to think about it. I like my meat.” So selfish.
